The place where both nature and health thrives!

Me Johanna is the company owner and I am daughter to the owner of the farm and land, Anna. I have a Batchelors degree in Public health science with specialization in behavioral science and have always had a very keen interest in nature, animals and the countryside as a whole. I have a long history with horses and especially riding and training from the ground.  When i started my higher studies in health i began my journey to focus my research in nature-based health-interventions and studied a lot about the health-benefits of being outdoors and being in contact with different nature-settings. The nature brings a LOT of positive to our species (read more here) and as a beleiver in the evolution I don't find that quite as chocking. We come from nature therefore we also thrive in nature!

The farm Kopprarp Hill has been in our family since the 1700 century and probably even longer (we can only search back to when Blekinge became Swedish, we were Danes back in the days). We have about 235 acres in total and the majority of this area is covered in forest. Of the forest-area, approx 80 percent broadleaf tree dominated and the most common species is oak, beech and hornbeam. Our forests holds many different kinds of important both culture and nature- values with lots of traces from the past generations living here. From century's of farming, the crofting era and stone carving. Apart from the forest we have agricultural land that we aim to restore the biodiversity in and we are currently in the upstart of a EU-sponsored project that will use horses to browse in a forest area during wintertime to promote both horse-welfare and biodiversity.
